Later this week we&#8217;ll be looking at different kinds of &#8220;picky eaters&#8221; and the differences between them. We&#8217;ll all be taking the test here.  Are you a supertaster?<\/li>\n<li>We&#8217;ll hear from <a href=\"http:\/\/mealmakeovermoms.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Janice Bissex, RD<\/a> about picky eaters in teens.<\/li>\n<li>Common mistakes when dealing with a picky eater in your house. Have you become a shot-order cook?  Are you constantly fighting over the same things?<\/li>\n<li>Changing your methods.  We know what doesn&#8217;t work; now let&#8217;s look at new ideas to try with your kids.  How can you promote healthy relationships with food?<\/li>\n<li>Let&#8217;s explore some out-of-the-box ideas to get kids involved and enjoying the food around them and making food fun.<\/li>\n<li>Resources from other places are always great as well, and I definitely don&#8217;t have all the answers.  From books for the adults to books for kids and other websites, we&#8217;ll look for more sources of information on picky eating.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><br clear=\"all\">The goal of this series is to break the process of picky eating.  It is intended to be positive.  Oftentimes parents get worked up over the food struggles and behaviors that are associated with mealtime, and with a child who is already worked up over the food, the two clashing can make for dinnertime disaster.<br \/>\n<br clear=\"all\"><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crankymouse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/Co-HostBadge.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Co-HostBadge\" width=\"180\" height=\"150\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-7998\" \/>This week I&#8217;m co-hosting a class on The Motherhood sponsored by ConAgra called \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.themotherhood.com\/cookingconnections\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Expanding Your Family\u2019s Palate by Placating Picky Eaters<\/a>.\u201d   Hosted by Jennifer Leal of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.savoringthethyme.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Savor the Thyme<\/a>, Kimberly Coleman from <a href=\"http:\/\/mominthecity.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mom in the City<\/a> and Kelsey Banfield, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thenaptimechef.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Naptime Chef<\/a>, the class will look at making meals work for everyone in the family \u2013 adults and kids alike \u2013 and strategies for getting picky eaters to try new things.
