We look to use ingredients in different ways throughout the week so that we&#8217;re benefiting from the ability of do-aheads and being able to buy in bulk.  We also benefit from a <a href=\"https:\/\/crankymouse.com\/the-kitchen-sink\/stocking-your-pantry-for-home-cooking-the-basics\"target=\"_blank\">well-stocked pantry<\/a>.<\/em><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crankymouse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/no-school-today.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"no-school-today\" width=\"535\" height=\"399\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7958\" srcset=\"https:\/\/crankymouse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/no-school-today.jpg 535w, https:\/\/crankymouse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/no-school-today-300x223.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 535px) 100vw, 535px\" \/><br \/>\nYou&#8217;ll have to excuse me.  I think it&#8217;s Tuesday or something.  The kids had Monday off for Presidents&#8217; Day.  They had yesterday off for a teacher work day.  I have one sick at home now.  Today.  Well, that makes today Monday?  Tuesday?  Definitely not Wednesday. Make <a href=\"https:\/\/crankymouse.com\/recipes\/turkey-broth-from-bones-using-every-last-bit\" target=\"_blank\">chicken stock<\/a> with the carcass and save. Always make and save chicken stock for soups and other dishes.<br \/>\n<strong>2.<\/strong> Make the hash with pancetta rather than sausage.  The rest of the pancetta will be used for the pasta.<br \/>\n<strong>3.<\/strong> Chop all the butternut squash for the hash and salad at once.  Store 2-4 ounces for the salad in an airtight container for Friday.<br \/>\n<strong>4.<\/strong> Make chicken wraps with spinach tortillas and leftover chicken to accompany the salad.
