This one comes from my dear friend Michelle of <a href=\"http:\/\/whatscookingwithkids.com\" target=\"_blank\">What&#8217;s Cooking with Kids<\/a>.  She&#8217;s sharing her experience with dealing with a &#8220;particular eater&#8221; in her oldest child.<\/em><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crankymouse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/picky-eaters-guest-post-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"picky-eaters-guest-post-1\" width=\"427\" height=\"640\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7687\" srcset=\"https:\/\/crankymouse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/picky-eaters-guest-post-1.jpg 427w, https:\/\/crankymouse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/picky-eaters-guest-post-1-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 427px) 100vw, 427px\" \/><br \/>\nFirst, I should say that I\u2019m not the biggest fan of the term \u201cpicky eater.\u201d And neither is my friend Christina, who explains the objection more eloquently than I can\u2026But some families are plagued with a plethora of food preferences.  And while I don\u2019t always cater to a finicky child, I do make accommodations sometimes.<br \/>\n<br clear=\"all\">Dinnertime has been challenging at our house lately. Our daughter has always had a very sensitive palate, and lately, our son is copying her resistance to the foods on the table. He is a fantastic eater when we are alone, but when she is at the table, he mimics her rejection of foods. If she claims that something is too spicy, he\u2019ll avoid what he would otherwise dive into head first.<br \/>\n<br clear=\"all\"><strong>When I select which recipes to cook, I often need to make some changes.
