We look to use ingredients in different ways throughout the week so that we&#8217;re benefiting from the ability of do-aheads and being able to buy in bulk.  We also benefit from a <a href=\"https:\/\/crankymouse.com\/the-kitchen-sink\/stocking-your-pantry-for-home-cooking-the-basics\"target=\"_blank\">well-stocked pantry<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><br clear=\"all\"><strong>Monday \u2013 <\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/crankymouse.com\/recipes\/maple-glazed-steak-salad-with-blue-cheese\" target=\"_blank\">Maple-Glazed Steak Salad with Blue Cheese<\/a><br \/>\n<br clear=\"all\"><strong>Tuesday \u2013 <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.fatfreevegan.com\/2007\/01\/quinoa-vegetable-paella.html\" target=\"_blank\">Quinoa Vegetable Paella<\/a><br \/>\n<br clear=\"all\"><strong>Wednesday \u2013 <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/thepioneerwoman.com\/cooking\/2010\/03\/cpks-bbq-chicken-pizza\/\" target=\"_blank\">BBQ Chicken Pizza<\/a><br \/>\n<br clear=\"all\"><strong>Thursday\u2013 <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/crankymouse.com\/recipes\/caramelized-onions-and-blue-cheese-and-orecchiette-oh-my\" target=\"_blank\">Caramelized Onions and Blue Cheese Orecchiette<\/a><br \/>\n<br clear=\"all\"><strong>Friday \u2013 <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.yumsugar.com\/Easy-Spinach-Italian-Sausage-Calzone-Recipe-7246999\" target=\"_blank\">Spinach and Italian Sausage Calzone<\/a><br \/>\n<br clear=\"all\"><\/p>\n<h3>The Preparation Shortcuts:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong> Use at least half spinach in the steak salad so that you can buy it in bulk, making it cheaper, and then save the extra for Friday&#8217;s dinner.<br \/>\n<strong>2.<\/strong> Substitute asparagus for the zucchini in the quinoa paella to mesh with what&#8217;s in season, making it cheaper and easier to find, not to mention more environmentally friendly.<br \/>\n<strong>3.<\/strong> On Wednesday while you&#8217;re making the chicken, prepare extra for the pasta on Thursday.
