She\u2019d have us warm up nut rolls before eating them because they were better that way. One mouth closing around a sweet bite. <\/p>\n<p>Like love, it is a process. It is failed attempts and patience. Picking yourself back up and trying again. This is an updated copycat recipe of the classic <a href=\"http:\/\/pearsonscandy.com\/candy\/salted-nut-roll\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pearson&#8217;s Salted Nut Roll<\/a> with from-scratch nougat (see recipe notes for a simpler version) surrounded by a bourbon-spiked caramel.
