Heat over medium-high heat, whisking frequently, until a low boil is reached.<br \/>\n<br clear=\"all\">Reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes until the mixture is reduced in volume by 1\/3-1\/2, has thickened, and is slightly darker than before cooking.
